Glass Bridge
About Glass Bridge
The Glass Bridge is a 216-metre pedestrian and cycling bridge linking Volodymyrska Hill and Khreshchatyi Park. Opened in 2019, it quickly became a favourite spot in the city. It’s a popular place for a relaxed walk, street music and photos, with sweeping views of the Dnipro, Podil and Kyiv’s Left Bank. Sunrise here is especially beautiful.
The bridge takes its name from the glass elements built into its structure. One of its main highlights is the glass panels set into the floor, offering views straight down to Volodymyrskyi Descent below. If you’re comfortable with heights, you can step right onto them. On busy days, you may feel the bridge gently vibrate, but it’s perfectly safe.
Andriivskyi Descent is just a short walk away, while Independence Square and Khreshchatyk are on the other side. It’s easy to include the bridge in a walk that takes in some of Kyiv’s best-known landmarks.
