About Azov Wave Bridge

The Azov Wave Bridge is a modern pedestrian bridge stretching 164 metres, connecting Natalka Park with Obolon Island. Its wave-like shape reflects the movement of the Dnipro, while the river views have made it a popular spot for walks and photos.

Construction began in 2020, but the bridge only opened in 2024 due to the full-scale invasion. The name is symbolic: part of the metal used in the structure was produced at the Azovstal steel plant. For many, the bridge has come to represent resilience and the strength of the Ukrainian spirit.

The bridge leads to Obolon Island, where you’ll find sports and children’s playgrounds, a beach, cycling and running paths, as well as quiet spots to relax by the water.

In the evening, the bridge is lit with soft LED lights, creating a pleasant atmosphere for an evening walk.
