Museum of Toilet History
About Museum of Toilet History
The Museum of Toilet History is one of the most unusual places in Kyiv, and one you’ll definitely have stories about afterward. It is the first and only museum in Eastern Europe dedicated to the evolution of toilet culture, from stone seats to modern technologies. Here you can see a stone toilet seat from Scotland, a wooden toilet from an ancient Egyptian tomb and even a flushing toilet designed according to Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches. The museum also holds the world’s largest collection of souvenir toilets, officially listed in the Guinness World Records.
The exhibition traces how hygiene developed over the centuries — from the first toothbrushes and soap to toilets used on ships and even in space.
Guided tours are available in Ukrainian and English, and in French or Polish with advance booking.
Ticket price: 200 UAH (guided tour included).
