Where to find the nearest shelter in Kyiv: the official shelter map and a short guide for visitors.
Since the start of the full-scale war, air raid alerts have been announced in Kyiv almost every day, warning residents and visitors about possible attacks from the air. When an alert is active, the general recommendation is to head to the nearest shelter as quickly as possible and stay there until the all-clear is announced.
Kyiv has more than 4,000 shelters, including metro stations, basements, underground passages, and parking garages. You can find the closest shelter on the official city shelter map.
The map lets you search by:
