Railway Transport Museum
About Railway Transport Museum
Imagine sitting in the cab of a real locomotive, pulling the levers and turning the controls, and for a moment feeling like the driver of a train crossing Ukraine. That’s what a visit to the Railway Transport Museum is like, as you can explore historic trains not only from the outside but also from the inside.
The museum is located on Track 14 of Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station. Its collection covers more than a century of Ukrainian railway history, including steam engines, diesel locomotives and electric trains. Highlights include a copy of the first Ukrainian retro train and old luxury carriages with their own kitchen, bathroom and even a conference room.
This place appeals both to children seeing a driver’s cab for the first time and to adults who can relive their early railway trips.
