About the "Formation of the Ukrainian Nation" Museum

The Museum of the Formation of the Ukrainian Nation is the first interactive museum in Ukraine where history comes to life through 3D figures, multimedia installations and augmented reality. It is located beneath the Motherland Monument, the tallest statue in the country.

Across 25 thematic zones, the museum takes you through centuries of Ukrainian history, from Kyivan Rus’ to the present day. Among more than 100 life-size figures, you’ll meet princes, hetmans, artists, scientists, presidents and athletes. Each story is enhanced with video, holograms, audio and interactive screens.

Visitors can try their hand at historical tasks: place a seal on an old document, create a personalized “citizen ID” or take photos with famous historical figures. You can also purchase a small pouch filled with soil collected from different regions of Ukraine.

The museum offers guided tours, quests and multimedia guides in several languages, including Ukrainian, English, German and French. A café and gift shop are available on site.
