Zalizna Kramnytsia
About Zalizna Kramnytsia
Zalizna Kramnytsia is a one-of-a-kind merch store by Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s state railway, which became a symbol of resilience during the war. Trains kept running even under shelling, evacuating people, transporting humanitarian aid and taking doctors and journalists to the front line. Ukrainians started calling the railway “iron” (“zalizna”) not only because of the tracks, but because of its character – and that’s how the idea of a signature store was born.
What you can pick up at Zalizna Kramnytsia:
- A sweatshirt listing train routes to temporarily occupied cities, a touching reminder that these destinations will reopen one day
Socks with the classic railway bedding print - Soap inspired by Kyiv Cake, lip balm with the scent of ice cream or cherry compote
- Candles with Ukrainian-themed aromas such as “Kyiv Chestnuts’’ or “Rain in the Carpathians”
- The iconic tea glass holder – a nostalgic symbol of Ukrainian trains
The shop sits in the main hall of Kyiv-Passenger railway station and is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00.
