About Kyiv Art Gallery
The Kyiv Art Gallery is one of the oldest museums in the capital. For more than a century, it has preserved its art collection inside the elegant mansion that once belonged to the Tereshchenko family, well-known Ukrainian philanthropists. The collection highlights Western European art from the 18th to the 20th century and includes over 14,000 paintings, graphic works, and sculptures. The building itself is equally noteworthy: its refined halls with ornate plasterwork once hosted receptions and formal events.
Despite sustaining damage from Russian missile attacks, the gallery continues to operate, becoming a symbol of Kyiv’s cultural resilience. In addition to the main exhibition, the gallery regularly presents shows that explore contemporary social themes — from Crimea and identity to memory and the human experience.
Plan to spend about two hours to fully enjoy the museum.
Ticket prices: 100–200 UAH, depending on the exhibition.
