About Tychyna Museum

The Pavlo Tychyna Museum is an authentic Kyiv apartment from the 1960s where one of the most renowned and most debated Ukrainian poets of the 20th century lived and worked. Everything here remains almost as it was during his lifetime, from his writing desk to his personal library of more than 20,000 books. The interior also features pieces of traditional decorative art such as carpets, ceramics, embroidery and carved wood.

Guided tours focus on Tychyna’s life and writing, highlighting the inner conflict of a poet who wrote sincerely yet had to live under Soviet censorship. Virtual 3D tours are available for those who cannot visit in person.

In addition to tours, the museum offers workshops, for example on decorating eco-bags and T-shirts, which can become meaningful souvenirs from your trip to Kyiv.

Plan about an hour for your visit — enough time to feel the atmosphere of the poet’s home and get a sense of his life beyond the pages.

Admission: 50 UAH.
