Pyrohiv
About Pyrohiv
Pyrohiv is a large open-air museum that offers a glimpse into centuries of everyday life in Ukraine. As you walk through the grounds, you’ll see authentic traditional homes from across the country — from peasant cottages and Cossack houses to wooden churches, chapels, mills, and smithies.
The site features nearly 300 examples of vernacular architecture from the 16th to 20th centuries. The museum’s collection includes over 100,000 items: folk clothing, furniture, tools, musical instruments, and children’s toys.
In addition to its permanent displays, Pyrohiv regularly hosts festivals, fairs, and celebrations with contests, quests, workshops, and performances. It’s a great spot for a family outing.
The grounds are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
