Molodyi Theater

Molodyi Theater (Young Theater) is where the story of modern Ukrainian theater began more than a century ago. Founded by legendary director Les Kurbas, it quickly became a laboratory of artistic experimentation. Located near Zoloti Vorota metro station, it still carries the spirit of fearless creativity.

Today the theater mixes acting, music and movement in unexpected ways. This is where the provocative musical Cabaret (Kabare) was born — a hit that went viral on TikTok and inspired cosplay videos from audiences around the world.

If you enjoy inventive choreography, striking costumes and performance that pushes boundaries, check out the dance show Wardrobe (Shafa). Prefer something more traditional? The Ukrainian comedy Matchmaking on Honcharivka (Svatannia na Honcharivtsi) has been performed over 600 times and remains one of the company’s signature titles.
