Park of Eternal Glory
About Park of Eternal Glory
The Park of Eternal Glory is a peaceful green space on the hills above the Dnipro. It’s a place where you can enjoy nature while reflecting on key moments in Ukrainian history. People come here to walk under the chestnut trees, relax on a bench and take in one of the most impressive panoramas of Kyiv.
From the upper terrace, you can see the golden domes of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the ancient Church of the Saviour at Berestove and the wide Dnipro valley. It’s especially atmospheric at sunset.
Two major memorials stand in the park:
- The Eternal Glory Memorial in honour of the heroes of World War II
- The Holodomor Memorial commemorating the millions of victims of the famine
The park is about a 10-minute walk from Arsenalna metro station, and it’s easy to continue towards the Lavra or Mystetskyi Arsenal afterwards.
