About Selyam

Selyam is a Crimean Tatar restaurant in Podil, filled with warmth, hospitality and the smell of freshly baked bread. With two floors, several dining rooms and a terrace opening onto a quiet inner courtyard, it feels less like a restaurant and more like a welcoming Crimean home. Dishes are cooked in a wood-fired oven and on the grill, and live music often plays in the evenings.

The menu blends Crimean Tatar classics with a modern touch. You’ll find yantyks, manty, hummus with kebab, veal cheeks, beef tails with mashed potatoes, pide with shrimp and cheese, and the restaurant’s signature Bessarabian platter.

There’s also a thoughtful kids’ menu with simple, home-style dishes like steamed meat patties, broth with dumplings, cheese pide, small skewers, or a mini burger with fries.

The bar offers a mix of classic and house cocktails, along with a selection of wines and spirits. For non-alcoholic options, there are Crimean teas and traditional coffee brewed in a cezve.
