Kashtan

Kashtan is a beloved café tucked away in an inner courtyard on Reitarska Street, just steps from the Golden Gate and St. Sophia’s Cathedral. Located in Kyiv’s historic center, it offers a cozy, peaceful atmosphere — perfect for a quick break or some quiet inspiration.

The menu includes classic coffee drinks, teas, cocoa, lemonades, matcha, and cascara. Guests can also enjoy breakfast options like syrnyky, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, pancakes, and sandwiches, along with salads, soups, pasta, and desserts. Vegetarian options are available, and the café sells a variety of coffee beans for home brewing. A wine bar and a shop run by the same owners share the space with Kashtan.

The café regularly hosts events — from chess and table tennis tournaments to vegan BBQs and traditional dinners by the café’s chef.
