Embassies in Kyiv

A complete list of embassies and consulates in Kyiv, and what kind of help you can get there.

Foreign embassy building with Ukrainian and EU flags in Kyiv

Despite the full-scale invasion, 85 foreign embassies continue to operate in Kyiv. The capital hosts diplomatic missions from most European and American countries, more than 10 from Asia, and 2 from Africa.

You can find the full list of embassies, with addresses and contact details, in the official directory on Ukraine’s Diia government portal.

What your embassy can help you with

Most embassies can help with:

  • Issuing and renewing passports;
  • Notarizing documents;
  • Registering births, marriages, and deaths;
  • Issuing visas;
  • Emergency assistance (arrest, accident, lost documents);
  • Evacuation in emergency situations;
  • Legal, migration, and employment advice.

Most embassies work by appointment only. To book a visit, go to the official website (see the Diia portal directory), call, or send an email to the embassy’s official address. It’s best to contact them on weekdays between 10:00 and 17:00, during regular embassy business hours. In urgent cases, use the emergency hotline — the numbers are also listed in the directory.

How embassies operate during an air raid alert

Embassies pause in-person services during an air raid alert. If an alert starts on the day of your appointment (install an alert app to receive warnings), call the embassy after the all-clear to confirm whether the schedule has changed.
