Syretskyi Arboretum
About Syretskyi Arboretum
Syretskyi Arboretum is an open-air “museum of nature” that has preserved the atmosphere of the 19th century. Founded in 1875, it still impresses with its rich plant life: more than 60 tree species and around 400 herbaceous plants grow here, some of them listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
What makes Syretskyi Arboretum special
- The centerpiece is a tulip tree with large, bright blossoms, best seen in spring
- Most of the trees are conifers, filling the air with a fresh resinous scent
- Spring is especially scenic with magnolias, lilac, jasmine, crocuses, forget-me-nots, sakura and apple trees in bloom
It’s a lovely place to walk, take photos and enjoy nature; guided tours in Ukrainian are available (100 UAH), and professional photoshoots can be booked (from 100 UAH/hour)
Entry costs 50 UAH.
