About Kyoto Park
Kyoto Park is a landscaped park in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi District. It was established in 1972 following the signing of a friendship agreement between Kyiv and the Japanese city of Kyoto.
The park is designed in a traditional Japanese style, featuring elements of Japanese landscape design such as a pagoda, stone arrangements, gazebos and decorative ponds.
The park’s main attraction is its sakura avenue, which comes into bloom every spring and has become one of the city’s most popular photo spots. The park is also home to mature pine trees, Japanese maple trees, bonsai and magnolias.
