Time in Kyiv
Kyiv — and all of Ukraine — uses Eastern European Time (EET). This means local time is UTC+2.
Across the country, people often refer to it simply as Kyiv time, since all regions follow the same clock.
Daylight saving time
In winter, Kyiv runs on UTC+2. In summer, daylight saving time applies — UTC+3.
- Daylight saving time (“summer time”) starts on the last Sunday of March — at 3:00 am, clocks move forward by one hour.
- Standard time (“winter time”) returns on the last Sunday of October — at 4:00 am, clocks move back by one hour.
