About Olimpiyskiy Stadium
The NSC Olimpiyskiy is the main sports venue in Ukraine and one of the biggest stadiums in Europe, seating around 70,000 people. With more than a century of history, it has hosted many major events, including:
- The UEFA Champions League Final and Europa League matches
- World Cup qualifiers and Premier League games
- The final of EURO 2012, which brought fans from across the globe
- Concerts by Madonna, Shakira, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, KISS and Dua Lipa
- The 2019 presidential debate between Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Because of the war, the stadium is temporarily closed to visitors, yet it remains a major symbol of Kyiv’s sporting and cultural scene.
