Lavra
About Lavra
Lavra is a leading contemporary art gallery in Kyiv, showcasing works by both established artists and emerging experimental creators. Although located next to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra — the city’s most famous religious landmark — the gallery is an entirely independent cultural space.
It’s an ideal place for anyone interested in current artistic trends. Lavra is well known for hosting large Art Markets and Design Markets that bring together artists, collectors, and hundreds of visitors.
What makes Lavra special
- The gallery regularly updates its exhibitions, offering new themes each time — from classical painting to multimedia projects.
- With a wide range of genres, including painting, sculpture, installation, and photography, there is something for every type of art enthusiast.
- One of the gallery’s recognisable features is the bright blue-and-yellow mural on the exterior, created by Ukrainian street artists.
Visiting a single exhibition usually takes about 1–1.5 hours.
Ticket prices vary depending on the event, and many large art markets offer free entry with prior registration.
