Chaguan
About Changuan
Chaguan is a teahouse near Kontraktova Square where time seems to slow down with the first sip of Chinese tea. It’s part teashop, part tea room, and part cultural space devoted to the art of tea drinking. The most charming spot is the green inner courtyard: wooden two-level platforms with cushions, quiet corners and the scent of tea make it feel far removed from the city. It’s a perfect place for a relaxed date or an unhurried conversation.
The tea selection includes green, white and red teas, oolong, as well as shu and sheng pu-erh. The owners personally source the teas during trips to China, so everything here is natural — no flavourings or additives, just pure tea.
At Chaguan, you don’t just drink tea — you learn to understand it. The teahouse hosts:
- Gongfu Cha and Ping Cha tea ceremonies
- traditional tea brewing sessions
- workshops and talks on tea culture
The shop also carries everything you need for your own tea ritual, from clay teapots and cups to tea trays and small tea figurines.
Chaguan is a place to slow down, find your tea, and enjoy a moment of calm.
