Kyiv is a city that’s impossible not to photograph. Its streets, architecture, and atmosphere inspire both professional photographers and amateurs alike. The capital regularly hosts photography contests that allow people to see Kyiv in a new light. One such contest — “Kyiv – the City I Love” — took place in 2016 to commemorate World Tourism Day.

Organizer: Tourism Department of Kyiv City State Administration.

Participants: Professional photographers and amateurs — everyone who loves photography and wants to showcase the beauty of our city.

Contest Timeline

  • Application and submission period: August 15 – September 19, 2016.
  • Winner selection: September 20, 2016.
  • Award ceremony: September 27, 2016, during the celebration of Tourism Day in Ukraine.

Prizes

  • 1st place — certificate from InterContinental Kyiv hotel for 2 nights for 2 people with breakfast (valid until the end of 2016).
  • 2nd place — certificate for a Kyiv – Tbilisi – Kyiv flight from Yanair airline (valid until the end of 2016).
  • 3rd place — Samsung SM-J320H Galaxy J3 Duos 7XD (Black) smartphone from TOUR INFO KYIV company.
