Founded in 1899, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine (abbreviated as NMIU) is located at 2 Volodymyrska Street. Its collection includes over 800,000 items — from archaeological and numismatic finds to ethnographic artifacts, weapons, manuscripts, rare books, and art. Together, they tell the story of Ukraine from prehistoric times to the present day.
