Samosad
About Samosad
Samosad is a small green square in Podil that was created by local residents. What used to be an empty, abandoned lot has turned into a cozy garden with flowerbeds, herb patches and wooden loungers.
There’s a clear rule here: quiet only. No loud music, parties or speakers. Samosad is meant for calm time outdoors — reading, working on a laptop, relaxing in the shade or just being around plants. There are also beds with herbs, vegetables and flowers that local volunteers look after.
What you can do here:
- Relax on loungers or right on the grass
- Join a talk or workshop organised by local activists
- Help with gardening and look after the plants (with prior agreement)
Samosad is just a 10-minute walk from Kontraktova Ploshcha metro station.
