Khreshchatyi Park
About Khreshchatyi Park
Khreshchatyi Park is one of Kyiv’s oldest green spaces, founded back in 1743. Set along the scenic Dnipro hills, it’s perfect for walks, relaxed views and photos with some of the best panoramas in town.
Here, nature, architecture and art mix naturally: one path leads to the fairy-tale Puppet Theater, another to the historic Kyiv Philharmonic, and in between you’ll find dozens of sculptures — from the statue of the lovers Luigi and Mokrina to the quirky frog eating coins.
Park highlights:
- The Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People, offering sweeping views over the Dnipro, Podil and Kyiv’s left bank;
- The Water Museum, an interactive space showing how water travels from underground source to your tap;
- The Lovers’ Pedestrian Bridge, where couples leave padlocks on the railings as a symbol of lasting love.
